Friendly staff, good nails, TERRIBLE waxing
Posted by tinajack on 09/07/2006
Great place to get a mani/pedi. Nice, friendly staff and comfy spa chairs. Waxing is absolutely terrible, my eyebrows (by Suzy) were completely ruined and took forever to grow back. They were totally different - so my right brow and left brow didn't match at ALL. NEVER get waxed here. Other salons on Church (across from Marthas) have great astheticians

A Great Place for a Mani/Pedi, etc.

A very nice place where the ladies are very skilled. The equipment is constantly being sanitized, the prices are competitive and the salon is conveniently located near shopping and restaurants in Noe Valley.

Great Work; Quiet and Clean Environment

These ladies know their stuff. They sanitize everything, and calmly do their jobs. Their prices are very competitive and the quality of their work is excellent. If you didn't have a chance to make an appointment, you can usually get right in during a weekday.

Best Nail Spa Value

These ladies are great. If you are getting acrylic fills, ask for Susie, the owner. She doesn't put them on too thick and she cares that they look good. They take their time with you and do it right. Hands down the best value in town.

A little kindness goes a long way...

There are several nail salons in Noe, but at every other one I've been to, the attitude of the staff is snippy and condescending. Castro Nails makes me feel welcome, and the quality of their work is better than most. I look forward to going there every other week. It's a relaxing experience, rather than a challenge.

great friendly neighborhood place

I've been going to this place for mani/pedis since it's grand opening over a year ago. The owner Susie is a sweetheart who tries to run her business with a personal touch (even if she does always forget my name). Her staff is friendly and does high-quality and long-lasting work for cheap ($19 for a spa chair mani/pedi) and usually with little wait. They have a ton of OPI colors and more comfy spa chairs than some I've tried. There are a ton of places in Noe to choose from, but this is my favorite.
